Hi Everyone
Every Catalog that JobLink and Leon Lynch try to publish, we try to put together a catalog with classes that appeal to the students. We do this with Surveys and word of mouth. But sometimes there’s a class you want but you can’t find it in the catalog. Today, I’m going to tell you how to get that class. If you don’t see a class that you want in the catalog, First talk to your Learning Advocate from your Department. Or call the Learning Center Office at 398-3150 Ext. 18. We can contact the other Learning Centers to see if they may be offering that class. We have an agreement with Burns Harbor, USX Gary and USX Midwest that if they have a class that one of our students would like AND there is available room in the class, we can register them in the class. We can also contact the Area Adult Education Centers to see if they offer it. If none of that works you can come down to the Center and request a class and we will start a Waiting List for that class and when we get enough students to sign up for the same class we will search for an Instructor for that class. So keep that in mind next time you are looking at the catalog.
